XX WYD: MEDIA FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD IN GERMANY FOR THE FIRST VISIT BY THE POPE (2)

Obviously many German journalists are present . Michael Boite has arrived from Münster. He is taking care of the site of the diocese www.kirchensite.de.  "On the site – he says – we have dedicated a lot of space to the WYD and to the events organized in Münster and in the other towns . In particular, we have produced some video-stories with short commentaries on what is happening". The interest that German newspapers have in the WYD is great: some are interested in the arrival of youth from different Countries, but most of them are interested in the Pope’s first visit to Germany"".  Melanie Dahl writes for a German press agency that appears only on the Internet: Jugendpresse (www.jugendpresse.de). The German newspapers, says Dahl, are giving large coverage to the WYD for two reasons; "The arrival of the Pope in Germany and the possibility for our youth to compare notes with peers from countries that are so different in terms of culture and traditions". Here at the press centre there is also a group of 30 young would-be Germans journalists, who are part of a project set up by the Government. Among them is Sinan Musl: "We are covering the WYD mainly from the socio-political point of view. We will be covering the official events with photographs and articles that will be published on various Internet sites.
