The pilgrims said the Press Office of the XX WYD will be put up in many schools and gyms, and 91,245 homes; 30,000 families too will accommodate them. More accommodation will be provided in public offices, supermarkets, shops, Turkish-Islamic cultural associations, greenhouses, stables, beer and leather factories, and canoeing clubs. As to Masses, they will involve 750 bishops, 54 cardinals, 500 confessors, 1,000 altar servers, 50 readers, 2,450 singers and players; 248 catecheses will be held, while 3,000 people will hand out the Holy Communion at the final Mass; 160 litres of wine will be used for the opening Masses today in Cologne, Bonn, Düsseldorf and for the final mass with the Pope. 2,800,000 Hosts will be used for all the Masses. Medical aids have been planned in Marienfeld, with 30 doctors from different countries. 1,200 shuttle buses will be operated on August 20th and 21st to reach the plain of Marienfeld. One last curious thing concerns the meals: the pilgrims can choose between traditional or vegetarian meals.
