"Italyani Köln", a feast where young Italians coming to Cologne for the XX WYD will meet young Germans of Italian origin and young Italians from all over the world, will be held in Cologne today, at 6.00 pm, during the World Youth Day. "Italyani Köln", informs the Press Office of the Italian Bishops Conference, will be an event inspired by faith, culture and tradition. "The letter Y in the word Italyani explains Father Paolo Giulietti, in charge of the Italian Bishops Conference Service for the Young Pastoral shows that the Italy of the Italians and the Italy of the Italians living abroad can blend into one, while preserving their specificity and territorial identity. The new graphics of the title stand for the meeting of "two Italies", sharing the same historical and cultural roots". The focus of the event, divided into three parts with entertainment and music, will be the hearing of the Word. Many Italian artists and emigrants will come and tell their experiences. The event is produced by "Omnibus", an organisation specialising in the production of big-scale ecclesial events. "Italyani Köln" will be broadcasted live on SAT2000.
