"When we discuss of the future of Europe, we politicians have to listen to the citizens, no matter where they come from", including "children, who are our future". This is the inspiration behind the online meeting between the teenagers and Margot Wallström, vice-president of the EU Commission, due to take place on Monday 20th November at 4 pm. During the discussion, the participants will be able to speak with the Swedish Commissioner about the history and current events of the EU integration process and subjects of interest for the young generations. Olivia Lind Haldorsson, head of the Brussels branch of Save the Children, which organises the event along with the EU Executive Committee, states: "We are happy about this chat, which is a step forward towards a EU that listens to and learns from its younger citizens". The "virtual" meeting will be broadcast live in 21 languages. "Children and teenagers from all over Europe explains Wallström are invited to send their comments, opinions and questions and to follow the debate, live on the Internet".
