Yesterday 8th February saw Croatia, followed by Poland and Bosnia, win the European Football Championship for priests, "Champions clerum", which took place in Zagreb, Croatia, played by the teams of twelve countries (including Romania, Austria, Italy, Slovenia). The top six places informed the Portuguese Catholic Agency, Ecclesia see Spain sixth of the list, Hungary fifth, Portugal fourth, Bosnia, Poland and Croatia top of the list. The defender of the Portuguese national team of priests-footballers is father José Miguel Pereira, director of the Catholic newspaper "Diario do Minho", who said he is glad they went through to the semi-finals.
