A message "full of heart-felt gratitude and trepidation" is the one sent to Pope Benedict XVI, at the beginning of the solemn celebration for this morning’s consistory in Saint Peter’s Square, from card. William Joseph Levada, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, made cardinal along with another 14 archbishops and bishops chosen by the Pope as new cardinals. Levada spoke of "humble contribution" of the new cardinals to the achievement of the Pope’s apostolic ministry and highlighted "the task of serious responsibility that demands extra devotion", as well as "an endless pledge of total love and unconditional faithfulness to Christ". The new cardinal also spoke of "faithfulness to man, who first of all eagerly craves truthfulness". The new cardinals, as well as Levada, are Franc Rodé (prefect of the Congregation for Consecrated Life), Agostino Vallini (prefect of the Apostolic Signatura), Jorge Liberato Urosa Savino (archbishop of Caracas), Gaudencio B.Rosales (archbishop of Manila), Jean-Pierre Ricard (archbishop of Bordeaux), Antonio Canizares Llovera (archbishop of Toledo), Nicolas Cheong-Jin-Suk (archbishop of Seul), Sean Patrick O’Malley (archbishop of Boston), Stanislaw Dziwisz (archbishop of Cracow), Carlo Caffarra (archbishop of Bologna) and Joseph Zen Ze-Kiun (bishop of Hong Kong). They also include the over-eighty ones: mgr. Andrea Cordero Lanza Di Montezemolo, dean of the Basilica of S.Paolo fuori le Mura; mgr.
