” “A big concert organised by the young to pay tribute to John Paul II will take place on March 31st in Madrid, in the Spanish-American church of La Mercede. It is an initiative of Centro di Arte Los Cabos, David Radio, Multifestival David and Produzioni La Raíz. “The concert is a present for the Holy Father”, highlight the organisers, who asked that people got ready “with prayers, testimonies or songs”. In Móstoles instead, still on March 31st, a tribute to the Pope will take place in the socio-cultural centre Caleidoscopio. The tickets, which are free, can be taken from the parish church of God’s Shepherd. The event is promoted by the archpriest of Móstoles, of the diocese of Getafe. Meetings of prayer have been organised in many other dioceses, to be held the night of April 2nd. In the meantime, the streets of Madrid already boast two sculptures of John Paul II, and in Barcelona an international cartoon studio created the dvd “John Paul II, the friend of all men”, which will be officially presented on April 2nd and translated into Italian, English and Polish, as well as the official languages of Spain (Spanish, Catalan, Galician and Basque).
