"Opening ones’ arms and hearts to everyone" without neglecting "the importance of mutual dialogue" and "appropriate laws for healthy cohabitation": this is the appeal made by Benedict XVI as he met this morning the participants in the plenary session of the Papal Council of the Pastoral for Migrants and Wanderers, chaired by cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino. The session which opened today at the premises of the Papal Council to end on May 17th is focussed on "Migration and wandering to and from countries with an Islamic majority”. "The Catholic Church mentioned the Pope is more and more aware of the fact that inter-religious dialogue is part of its commitment to serve mankind in today’s world. This belief has become a sort of ‘daily bread’, especially for those who work with migrants, refugees and wandering peoples of all sorts". (to be continued)
