Signis, the world’s catholic association for communication, which was set up in 2001 from the merger of Unda (radio and TV) and Ocic (cinema and audiovisuals) and brings together members from 140 countries, launched its new website (www.signis.net) in Brussels a few days ago. The goal of the new website is to be a landmark for all Catholic communicators and provide information about the association, its members, services, publications and work. It shows the profile of Signis, an international organisation engaged in all media fields to promote a culture of peace. The new website will become more and more interactive: some section, still under construction, will include online videos and tunes, databases, the historical archives of Signis, Unda and Ocic, interactive chat rooms. These contents will be operative from next January; our new archives will be added later on. The new Signis website was developed in conjunction with Media animation (www.media-animation.be), a Brussels-based communication agency and lifelong adult training agency specialising in teaching and the media.
