"When the Christian community becomes a calling community”. This is the topic of the yearly meeting of the European Vocations Service (Evs), the body that groups the national managers for vocations of the 34 Bishops Conferences of Europe, due to take place in Leuven, Belgium, from June 29th to July 2nd. "The meeting reads a release from Ccee, the Council of European Bishops Conferences aims at shedding light on the role and responsibility of the Christian community within which every Christian vocation is born. The subject will be divided into three points: the vocational parish. What pedagogy of vocation within the Christian community?; Candidates for priesthood: “youth of our time”. Consequences for priestly education; How to establish a culture of vocation within the Church. The preparations for the meeting have been coordinated by the archbishop of Salzburg, Alois Kothgasser, president of Evs and delegate bishop of Ccee for vocations, and by the current coordinator, father Kevin Doran, parish priest of Glendalough (Ireland). As well as speeches and reports, the schedule includes discussions in language groups and exchanges of experiences. In particular, on Friday June 30th the university pastoral service of Belgium will be presented to the participants. The meeting will be attended by 67 people from 24 countries.
