This experience, added Benedict XVI, "has certainly been lived also by the author of the traditional anthem of the Bavarian people. With his words, which are also a prayer, I like to make one more wish to my home country: May God be with you, Country of the Bavarians, German land, Home! / May His blessing hand rest over your vast lands! / May He protect your country and the buildings of your cities / and keep to you the colours of its white and blue sky!". "Goodbye, everyone" concluded the Pope.
