The Bishops of the permanent Episcopal Council currently held in Rome, have today sent Benedict XVI the following message: "Holy Father, we the Bishops who are members of the Permanent Council of the IEC, after cordially sharing in our common meditations yesterday afternoon and this morning the considerations expressed in the opening speech by the Cardinal President, wish to express to Your Holiness our unanimous affectionate solidarity and our total adhesion to Your teachings, accompanied by our intense prayers, as well as those of the entire Church in Italy, that Your invitation to dialogue may be listened to by everyone".
