"The Night of the Open Churches": this is the name of the event planned for 22nd January that will enable people to visit several Christian churches in the historical centre of Prague, where many ecumenical events will be held. The event is part of the initiatives of the Third European Ecumenical Assembly (EEA3). The Evangelical Church of the Saviour will host an event for families with children, starting at 4 pm. At the Congregation of the Moravian Brothers at 6 pm, ecumenical prayers will be said, followed by the signing of the Charta Oecumenica by the leaders of most Czech churches. The third European Ecumenical Assembly will be presented at the Church of Saint Nicholas by the Czech Hussites at 7 pm. At 8 pm, a discussion will be held on the Charta Oecumenica, chaired by Katerina Rózsová, from the Czech Bishops Conference, attended also by card. Miloslav Vlk. Finally the two new EU member states, Romania e Bulgaria, will illustrate their history, culture, spirituality and food traditions at the Refectory of the Dominican Convent at 7.30 pm.
