A “recommendation” for the fight against racism and racial discrimination to be put under police control will be issued in Paris on 4th October by the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (Ecri). The meeting will be attended by delegations from the police, institutions and NGOs, all from different member countries of the Council of Europe. The participants will discuss the role of police in the fight against racism, in order to help them promote the respect of human rights and illustrate to lawmakers and politicians the guidelines to be adhered to, in order to achieve such goal.
