"Preserving the Church of the Saviour in Brest: methods for solving the problem", is the topic of the press conference planned in Kiev at the Monastery of the Grottoes today. In 2002 the Church of the Saviour in Brest was included in the list of the 100 monuments that Unesco considers endangered; since then international contributions have been sent for its restoration but the government funding has been stopped for unknown reasons. In addition to the special historical value of this church, methods for preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of Ukraine will be generally discussed. The meeting will be attended by the archbishop Pavlo Lebid, superior of the Monastery of the Grottoes, an architect and an archaeologist.
