The meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the twenty-seven member countries is due to be held in Luxembourg this afternoon "as part of the Inter-Governmental Conference" to address the draft EU Treaty that will be submitted to the Heads of State and Government during the summit in Lisbon on 18th and 19th October. "The meeting will be chaired by the Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luìs Amado", the current EU president, who will illustrate to his colleagues the schedule and provisions of the new Treaty and "will disclose explains a release from the Presidency the points that need further discussion", on which the Governments of the member states will have to reach agreement. "Then, the heads of the diplomacies will meet for a session on foreign relations, to review" other subjects, including "the preparations for the EU-Russia summit of October 26th, the situation in Uzbekistan, in Chad, in the Republic of Central Africa and in Sudan". They will also discuss Iraq, Libya, the Middle East and "the developments of the situation in Congo and Myanmar".
