SIR EUROPE: TAIZE, 7 THOUSAND YOUNG PEOPLE EXPECTED IN THE COMMUNITY DURING ALL SAINTS’ DAY HOLIDAYS (2)

"In October, too, and during All Saints’ Day holidays, – said Friar Emile, – for many French young people, by now, going to Taize is a tradition. But this year, the number of registrations was higher than last year’s". Common prayer, three times a day, is the core of daily life in Taize. And it will also be like that – confirmed Friar Emile – during these feast days: "Prayer alternates moments of silence, chant and meditation. The programme also includes moments of meditation, in which the purpose will be helping the young to match life with faith". Friar Emile is currently in Geneva, together with another ten brothers, to prepare the meeting of the European young people which this year is taking place in Switzerland, at the end of the year, as new "stage" of the "pilgrimage of trust on Earth" started many years ago by Friar Roger.
