"It is not simply pragmatism – stated the cardinal; – it’s a matter of conscience awakened in the light of the costs and the negative results caused by family breaks to the English society. It is also necessary to recall that the weakening of the family is the worrisome sign of the weakening of our culture". "Moreover, we must not forget the suffering of the children of separated or divorced couples – added the archbishop of Westminster; – to realize that, it would be enough to speak about that with teachers".
