Europe in five lessons. This is the idea of the European National Information and Documentation Centre (NIDC) that this morning, during the meeting on "Communicating Europe: the role of media and schools", promoted by the Italian section of Age, the European Journalists Association (aje.it), gave to the attending teachers and students "Lessons on Europe A teachers’ diary". It is a book containing five lessons: The Europe of peace and rights; How the EU works; the Europe of sharing; Europe and the rest of the world; Online Europe. Historical reports, summary tables, self-rating tests, suggestions for educational units on several subjects as well as useful directions to learn about and understand the European Institutions. A CD containing videos with lessons and games is enclosed with the book.
