The twenty-seven EU member states will go to Indonesia to submit some ideas that they will have outlined at the Council of Ministers on 30th October. The main items on the agenda are: limiting the planet’s overheating to 2ºC more than the temperature of the pre-industrial age ("to abide by this limit, global emissions will have to be stabilised within the next 10 to 15 years, then they must become half the values of 1990 before 2050"); reduction in emissions to be made "binding" and "more substantial in absolute terms" in the industrialised countries; "fair and effective" contributions from the other countries, "in particular from the fast-growing new economies, which should be called to guarantee an economic growth with less emissions".
