IRAQ: LOCAL NGOs, "27 CHRISTIANS KILLED IN MOSUL AND KIRKUK IN THE LAST TWO MONTHS"

At least 27 Christians were killed in Mosul and Kirkuk in the last two months. They were going out of their churches, or they were leaving groups of prayer meeting at private dwellings. The denunciation came from the spokesman of the Christian Peace Association and a religious man, Lucas Barini. It was taken by IRIN, the office of the United Nations coordinating humanitarian affairs. "Panic spread – declared Barini – also because among the victims there were lots of women and children. Just in the last two weeks, at least 120 families received letters of threat, with the intimation to leave Mosul and Kirkuk within one month. And now they don’t know where to go". (To be continued)
