THE HOLY LAND. THANKS AND REQUESTS FOR THE NEO-CATHECUMENAL, FROM THE CATHOLIC ORDINARIES” “” ” ” “

” “” ” Gratitude for the preaching of the Gospel, for the help given to believers, for faith development as well as for the invitation to respect liturgies, to celebrate the Mass in accordance with the local church and with the study of the language and of the culture of the people. That is the synthesis of what is written in a letter which the Catholic Ordinaries in the Holy Land addressed to the "brothers and sisters of the Neo-Cathecumenal Way". "We thank you for your presence in some of our parishes, for preaching the Word of God, for the help given to our believers in the development of their faith, and in their rooting in their own local churches", stated the Ordinaries, who nevertheless invited the followers of the Way "to remain faithful to the principle ‘a parish, an Eucharist’. Therefore, if you want to help the believers to grow within faith, your primary duty is rooting them in the parishes and in their own liturgical traditions, within which they have been growing for generations". In the Orient, recalled the Catholic Ordinaries, "we rely very much on our liturgy and our traditions. We beg you to be so kind as to understand and respect our believers’ attachment to their own liturgies". (To be continued)” ” ” “
