The house of the prophetess of Fatima, Sister Lucy, in the Good Jesus of Braga, will be converted into an old people’s home. The project was announced a few days ago, during a ceremony in the Carmelite community of the Immaculate Conception of the Good Jesus in Braga, where the prophetess used to live. According to the Mother Superior of the monastery, "in this way, sister Lucy’s wish will be fulfilled". After her death, a letter was found in which she expressed the wish that the home should be destined to some charitable work "in the religious, Christian, spiritual, social practice" as reported by the Portuguese Catholic agency Ecclesia. The "Association of Sister Lucy’s house the prophetess of Fatima" has been established for the purpose, and the founding members are mostly Carmelite nuns. The conversion of the house will cost about one million euros. The costs will be hopefully mostly covered by donations.
