RIGHT TO LIFE. VATICAN DECLARATION: "IN HIS HEART, MAN MUST OBEY THE VOICE OF THE LAW WRITTEN BY GOD" (3)

After recalling how the ethical questions particularly concern health jobs today, "whenever health operators meet with the duty to protect human life, and with the risk to find themselves in situations implying evil support, in applying professional duties", the Declaration makes believers a request. "Mobilization of all the people taking care of defending human life appears more and more necessary, – it is written in the note; – and this mobilization must also include the political level: the respect of the equality principle is an unavoidable necessity. It is actually necessary to respect and protect the rights of everybody, especially in the case with the most fragile and undefended people". The document of the Pontifical Academy for Life closed by recalling the words of Benedict XVI, who invited physicians, philosophers, theologians, and politicians "to defend and promote the ‘splendour of truth’, upholding the gift and mystery of life".
