” “In the run-up to the World Romany Day, that falls on April 8th, the Council of Europe and the EU Commission are holding a regional Festival for the Romany populations about "Art against prejudice". The meeting has been scheduled in Tirana from today to Saturday 7th April. A promoters’ note reads: "Artistic celebrities from south-east Europe, such as Muharem Serbezovski, the Silvi Duo Band, Muharem Tahiri and Hamza Tahirov and Tehemana, will perform every evening of the festival at the Odeon", a theatre in the Albanian capital. "Exhibitions of photographs, paintings, sculptures and handicrafts will be hosted at the same time". In addition, two round tables will address: "The role of Romany art, culture and identity in the integration process and in intercultural dialogue"; "The contribution of the Romany culture to the European culture".
