Bringing the emigrants’ approach into the White Paper of the Council of Europe on intercultural dialogue is the goal of the meeting "Migrants: players and carriers of intercultural dialogue", due in Lisbon on May 21st and 22nd 2007. The event, organised by the General Management of Education, Culture and Heritage, Youth and Sports, the General Management of Social Cohesion, and the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe, in conjunction with the High Commission for Migration and Ethnical Minorities of Portugal (Acime), the Forum of the international solidarity organisations for emigrants (Forim) and the Aga Khan Development Network, is part of the consultations for drawing up the "White Paper on intercultural dialogue" of the Council of Europe. The White Paper will provide guidelines and analytical and methodological instruments to promote intercultural dialogue.
