Quoting the "bond of communion" that binds the Syrian-Malankarese community to the Holy See, Benedict XVI invited them to "move on a double path": on one side, "through faithfulness to the apostolic see" to "fully partake of the universal breadth of the only Church of Christ", on the other side, through "faithfulness to the specific Oriental traits of your tradition" to "make the whole Church" "benefit from it".
