At the same time, "the majority of the citizens (52%) believe the situations of their domestic economies are good, while 44% have the opposite opinion". Moreover, other surprises concern the growing percentage of citizens in favour of further enlarging community borders, equalling 49%. "If they are asked to express themselves about the future, in their opinion, in fifty years it is further said in the research -, the EU will be a great diplomatic power in the world (61%), will have its own army (56%), and a president directly elected by European citizens (51%)".
