The Day For Life is going to be celebrated in England on Sunday 1st July. For the occasion, the Catholic Church prepared a series of initiatives of sensitization and solidarity. "We have widened the material which we give parishes and dioceses, by adding also DVDs and Podcasts", stated Msgr. Bernard Longley in an interview with Sir Europe (on line at old.agensir.it tomorrow). Msgr. Bernard Longley is the auxiliary bishop of Westminster, in charge of the subjects linked with life for the English bishops. He said: "We collected life evidences to demonstrate that we do not defend the holiness of life just through simple words". During the Day, funds will be raised to support "the Linacre Centre and other life movement associations, such as the one in Scotland, which has been promoted by Card. Winning for ten years, and through which 2,200 women were helped to face difficult pregnancies". "For the Church said the bishop, – it is important to finance these initiatives to offer also concrete help. For this reason, we are also promoting meetings with a therapist, both before deciding to have an abortion and once the pregnancy has been interrupted. We know how hard it may be for a woman to face such experience, above all, if she is alone".
