"A signature for a European Union in which the rights of disabled people are protected through a shared legislation, by fighting every form of discrimination and ensuring the full inclusion of its 50 million handicapped people". This is the appeal through which the European disability forum launched a collection of signatures, through the website www.1million4disability.eu, in the attempt to collect one million signatures by 30th September. Now, the plan is supported by the association of specialist journalists, "Giornalisti specializzati associati" (Gsa). "The target is still very far away", highlighted the national president of Gsa, Roberto Bonin, whose association sponsored the campaign "to encourage participation by the media and the citizens", so that "more and more people will join the campaign by spreading the news or signing the form". So far, over 200,000 signatures have been collected for the campaign.
