The young delegates of the Conference of the European Churches (KEK) for the Third European Ecumenical Assembly in Sibiu are meeting in Saint Maurice (Switzerland-Valais Canton), in the Via Francigena, from 27 to 30 July. The 35 participants, from 18 to 30 years of age, come from all over Europe and represent the Anglican, Protestant and Orthodox Churches (Romania, Russia, and Armenia). During the meeting, the subjects of the ecumenical assembly will be shown: "The Light of Christ and the Church" (unity, spiritualism and witnessing); "The Light of Christ and Europe" (Europe, religions and migration); "The Light of Christ and the world" (creation, justice and peace). The participants will have room for reflection, and for sharing opinions. "First of all said Smaranda Dochia, coordinator of the meeting, to SIR, the purpose of the meeting is to help the young to know each other. In this way, they will not feel lost in Sibiu. It will also be the chance to make their first ecumenical experience. The introduction to the subjects of the Assembly intends to help the young to go to Sibiu well-prepared, in such a way that they may have the courage to speak and let the others hear their voices". Moreover, in Saint Maurice, the final document of the second national ecumenical meeting of the young will be shown. The meeting for justice, peace and protection of creation took place in Milan last April.
