SIR EUROPA: ITALY, AGORA OF THE YOUNG, 300 THOUSAND PEOPLE EXPECTED TO GO AND MEET THE POPE

Over 300 thousand young people are expected to go tomorrow and on Sunday and meet the Pope in Loreto, as part of the Agora of the Young, promoted over these days by the Italian Bishops Conference: it is recalled by mgr. Paolo Giulietti, who is in charge of the event and who also revealed that, during tomorrow night’s vigil of prayer in the plain of Montorso, "Benedict XVI will listen to the young and will try to answer their questions which will not be catechistic but existential. Behind every question lie an experience and a widespread piece of life. In the Pope there is the Church that listens". In the meantime, young Italians and Europeans (from 50 countries) have already been hosted by 32 dioceses since as early as 29th August. Many are also the young Italians who live abroad. 80 young people from South Korea are also "anxious" to meet the Holy Father. (continued)
