BENEDICT XVI AT ANGELUS: IN REMEMBRANCE OF THE THREE NEW BLESSED SOULS

After saying the Angelus prayer, Benedict XVI recalled the three Blessed Souls proclaimed on 15th and 16th September. "In Poland, this morning – said the Pope –, in the Sanctuary of Licheñ, card. Tarcisio Bertone, my Secretary of State, on my behalf proclaimed a Blessed Soul the father Stanislao Papczyñski", the founder of the Congregation of Mary’s Clerics, "an exemplary priest in his preaching, in the education of lay people, the father of the poor and the apostle of the prayer in repose of the dead". "Likewise, in Bordeaux, this morning. card. José Saraiva Martins, prefect of the Congregation of the Causes of the Saints, on my behalf – he went on –. proclaimed a Blessed Soul Sister Maria Celina of the Presentation of the Virgin", a professed nun of the Second Order of Saint Farncis. "Her troubled life – commented the Holy Father – meant to be a sign of love for Christ". "I would also like to recall – he added – father Basilio Antonio Maria Moreau, the Founder of the Congregation of the Holy Cross, beatified at Le Mans yesterday" by card. Saraiva Martins. "To the intercession of these new Blessed Souls – stated the Pope –, I specially entrust their spiritual children, so that they will fervently carry on with their bright testimony as the prophets of God, the Lord of every life".
