The conclusive version of the final message appears at the official site of the Third European Ecumenical Assembly of Sibiu www.eea3.org. Ever since its reading at the Sibiu Assembly, the drawing up of the text met with a few problems raised by various Churches, concerning the part on respect for human life. Therefore, several versions and translations of the text circulated with different terms, in relation to the beginning and the conception of human life. In the end, they decided to include a note in the final text, a note alongside the paragraph relating to respect for human life, in which the difficulties met in the drawing up of the message are explained. Thus, the paragraph says: "We believe that every human being has been created in the image of God (GN 1, 27) and deserves the same degree of respect and love, in spite of differences in belief, culture, age, sex, ethnical origin”. At the end of the paragraph, it is added in the note in the margin: "Now, during the reading of the Message to the Assembly, the phrase ‘from conception to natural death’ was presented orally, and was subsequently translated with – ‘from birth to natural death’ – ‘from the beginning of life until natural death’. None of these wordings is part of the official text of the message". The same wording appears also in the translation into English.
