The unity of the Church, to be made "visible" despite the "barriers caused by the different perceptions of the Church, its Sacraments and its ministers". As well as the commitment of the Christians in Europe and in the world, and therefore a dialogue with religions, the fight against poverty, ecological commitment and the search for non-violent conflict-solving strategies. These are some of the subjects that the 2,100 delegates at the Third European Ecumenical Assembly will have to address from tomorrow in Sibiu as part of a tight working schedule which will include plenary sessions (in the morning) and nine forums (in the afternoon). The delegates will reach Sibiu after carefully reading a working document, in which the first part covers a summary of the contributions sent to Ccee and Kek at the end of the meetings and the events that have taken place in different European countries before Sibiu. The second part of the document contains the introductory files for the 9 Theme Forums that will be carried out during the Assembly. Tomorrow the general subject of the Assembly will be "The Light of Christ and the Church". The three afternoon forums will speak of unity, spirituality and testimony. "The Aee3 of Sibiu reads the first file will cover all the ramifications of the subject of unity". (continued)
