SPAIN: HUELVA BISHOP WRITES TO THE PARENTS OF THE DISAPPEARED GYPSY CHILD

Her name is Mariluz Cortés. She is the child with gypsy origins who disappeared on January 14th, after school. The bishop of the Huelva diocese, Msgr. José Vilaplana Blasco, wrote to the family telling them he’s really sharing their "inconsolable grief" for the disappearance of the child. Msgr. Vilaplana told the parents to share "the feelings of anguish, fear and rage", and publicly denounced "this terrible fact". The bishop asked God to change "the stone hearts of the kidnappers into flesh hearts, capable of loving and feeling the suffering of the child and her family". The public opinion has been really worried with this case, and not just the Spanish one, for the child disappeared a few miles from the Portugal beach where an English child disappeared, Madeleine MacCann, whose case hasn’t been solved, yet. Mariluz Cortés, 5 years old, goes to the Huelva diocesan school. When she disappeared, she had one euro in her pocket and was going to buy sweets.
