” “Frère Alois, the prior of the community of Taizé, announced that the next European Youth Meeting, that is held in a different city every year, will be held in Brussels from 29th December 2008 to 2nd January 2009. He did so by greeting the 40 thousand boys and girls who participated this year in the meeting promoted by Taizé in Geneva. In a joint declaration, the leaders of the Christian Churches of Belgium received the news with "joy and gratitude". "We thank the community of Taizé for this choice and we pledge ourselves to receiving this spiritual event from the depth of our heart.
