After saying the Angelus prayer, before his greetings in different languages, Benedict XVI, yesterday morning, on the Day of Epiphany, recalled that January 6th was the World Missionary Day of Children. "For over 160 years, on the initiative of the French Bishop Charles de Forbin Janson, Jesus’ childhood he said has become the icon of the commitment of the Christian children who help the Church in its work of evangelisation, through prayer, sacrifice and charitable deeds". "Thousands of children added the Pope help other children with their necessities, driven by the love that the Son of God, as a Child, brought onto the earth. I thank these children and I pray that they will always be the missionaries of the Gospel". "I would also like to thank concluded the Holy Father their guides, who escort them on the way of generosity, of fraternity, of the joyous faith that engenders hope".
