CRUCIFIX REMOVED IN SPAIN: CARDINAL CAÑIZARES (TOLEDO), "CHRISTPHOBIA" IN PROGRESS

” “"We are living in difficult times, no one can predict what is in store for the future." That is what Cardinal Antonio Cañizares Llovera, Archbishop of Toledo, said yesterday on the occasion of the solemnity of Jesus Christ, King of the universe, renewing the consecration of the Archdiocese of Toledo to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The feast was also an opportunity to comment on the sentence imposed by a judge of the Valladolid court, Alejandro Valentin, who ordered a state school in the city of "Macias Picavea" to remove crucifixes from the walls of classrooms, despite the opposition of the school council. "To the actual economic crisis, one must add other deeper crises," said Cardinal Cañizares. "The crisis of the lack of meaning in life, the human and moral crises, the crisis of universal values, spiritual and social crises, crisis of the sense of truth, the collapse of solid principles, confusion of concepts and fundamental human rights, moral relativism, nihilism and emptiness, cult of pleasure and predominance of the possession and of the well-being over the being, lack of hope, ideological laity."
