CATHOLIC SCHOOLS IN EUROPE: CONGRESS CCEE/CEEC IN ROME FROM 30 NOVEMBER

"Catholic Schools in the European Public Arena" is the theme of the Catholic schools’ European Congress promoted in Rome, from November 30 to December 2, by the Council of European Bishops’ Conferences (CCEE) and the European Committee for Catholic Education (CEEC). The congress will be attended by the bishops of the CCEE in charge of the pastoral care in schools and by CEEC specialists. The works will be opened by Mgr Vincent Nicholas, President of the CCEE Commission of Catechesis, School and University, and CEEC President Jean-Pierre Gardy. Among the speakers, the Auxiliary Bishop of Sarajevo Mgr Pero Sudar, Piet Raes a philosophy teacher, Bishop of Como Mgr Diego Coletti, and András Gianone CEEC delegate from Hungary. During the works Alberto Campoleoni and Etienne Verhack will outline the "European Survey on the Teaching of Religion." On Monday 1st December, Cardinal Zenon Grocholewski, Prefect of the Congregation for Catholic Education, will lead a Eucharistic celebration at 6.30pm.” ” ” “
