The seventh edition of the conference "Raising a Generation of Godly Leaders" is closing in Nairobi (Kenya) today; it was promoted by the association Hope for the Children, on the social and family reintegration of street children and orphans. Over one hundred representatives of several associations take part in the conference, including Amici dei Bambini (AIBI), Christian organizations, and exponents of Churches coming from all over Kenya. The objective of the conference is to promote an overall approach to work with children on the line and look for solutions to face various problems regarding abandoned children. Education as development factor, children communication, conflict resolution, family development, and family reintegration: these were the most important factors faced by the plenary assembly and the various workshops. Special room was devoted to the workshop on the importance of family reintegration and the measures to work out things in such a way that every child in difficulty may live with one mum and one dad. The sense of belonging to a community, in Africa, is very strong. Therefore, the works pointed out the importance of the involvement of the whole community in the process to reintegrate children in their families of origin, or if that is not possible, in an adopting family.
