A really responsible procreation with respect to the coming baby must be the outcome of marriage» (no. 6). As for the search of ways to overcome infertility, in this respect, it is written that the following techniques are licit: «techniques respecting the right to live and the physical integrity of every human being», «the unity of marriage, which includes mutual respect of the spouses’ rights to become father or mother just one through the other», and «the specifically human values of sexuality, according to which the procreation of a human person should be pursued as the fruit of the specific conjugal act of love between spouses» (no. 12).
