"We’ll go on with the Eucharist celebration said Bertone – by showing the altar that we thank the Lord for the account left to us by this sister of Christ, for her prophetic intuitions which preceded and prepared the great changes in history and the extraordinary events which the Church lived in the twentieth century". At the end of the homily, he recalled the words of a Belgian theologian, Jacques Leclerq, which Chiara loved to often repeat, and which "always move me", added Bertone: "’I’ll come towards You, my God… and with my maddest dream: taking the world into your arms’. That was Chiara’s dream, and be that our incessant yearning, too: ‘Father, let everyone be one thing, for the world to believe’".
