We can explore the advantages of our rich heritage and learn from different national traditions. We would like you to help us explore this". The MEPs Margot Wallstrom and Jan Figel’ make an appeal to the schools of the 27 EU member states and the third countries which the "Spring of Europe" is targeted to. Such campaign, goes on the message, "offers an opportunity to discuss your Europe and share your ideas with other students". Spring Day for Europe "is a yearly event explains a note from the EU Executive , which invites the schools to devote one or days of their calendar to organise events on subjects concerning" EU integration. In 2008, the Spring Day opened this week, it will continue until 30th June joins the schedule of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue "to promote cultural exchanges between young people", to raise awareness of cultural diversity, one of the "assets of our common continental heritage".
