"One can be a real Christian and an excellent journalist at the same time": this is the belief behind the first "Fondazione cronaca bianca -Giovanni Paolo II" award, promoted by the Spanish Foundation on 2 April on the occasion of the third anniversary of the Pope’s death and the tenth "birthday" of the group of young communicators called "Cronaca bianca", which has now become a Foundation for the promotion of training and the development of Christian-inspired social communication, according to the guidelines of the magisterium of the Church. The winner, Javi Nieves, host of "Good morning, Javi Nieves" on Catena 100, will receive the prize from the hands of the apostolic nuncio to Spain, mgr. Manuel Monteiro de Castro, in the great hall of the Faculty of arts and science of communication of Ceu-San Paolo University, in Madrid. "The world of social communication needs men and women who strive, every day, to live in the best possible way this double dimension" of being Christian journalists, says the Foundation, which rewards those professionals who work for the promotion of man’s dignity, human rights and evangelical values. An award that "proves that communion and communication are two unique, inseparable missions".
