The permanent council of Italian Bishops will open on Monday afternoon (10th March 13th March) at 5 pm, with the Eucharistic adoration in the chapel of the Italian Bishops Conference and an opening address by the president, card. Angelo Bagnasco. On the following days, stated the Social Communication Office of the Italian Bishops Conference, the bishops will review the comments received from the Regional Bishops Conferences about the translation of the first part of the "Editio typica tertia" of the Roman Missal. The meeting will go on with the presentation of the project for a "Letter on God-Seekers", the presentation of a draft letter on the issues of Assisting the Needs of the Church, with a reflection on the 45th Social Week and a report on the activity of the "Justice and Solidarity" Foundation. The meeting will also start a reflection on some new problems of Catholic health, will present a common document for the pastoral of marriages between Catholics and Baptists in Italy, will decide on the contribution to be given to the Regional Spiritual Courts for the current year, and will approve the date for the 25th National Eucharistic Congress. The press conference for the presentation of the final release, with mgr. Giuseppe Betori, secretary general of the Italian Bishops Conference, will be held on 18th March at 12 am in Rome (Radio Vaticana, piazza Pia 3).
