According to Msgr. Mennini, "a further positive element of the meeting was the homage" paid by Kirill "to the role constantly played by Benedict XVI to safeguard the Christian civilization, and to defend the rights and the dignity of the human person, on both the European and world level. As for Ban Ki-moon, while hinting at the imminent visit of the Holy Father to the United Nations (on 18th April editor’s note), he declared that there are remarkable expectations from all countries".
