SPAIN: THE WORD DAY OF SOCIAL COMMUNICATION FOCUSSED ON "PUBLIC OPINION"

"Public opinion" will be the subject of the VIII Diocesan meeting of social communicators, organised by the Pastoral Delegation of social communication media and the Lay Council of Madrid in the Spanish capital on April 20th, as part of the events for the XLII World Day of Social Communication. The day will begin with the Eucharistic celebration officiated by the archbishop of Madrid, Antonio Maria Rouco Varela. This will be followed by the first conference of the day, about "Freedom and public opinion”, with a speech by the director and presenter of "The morning" program of the radio station "Cadena Cope", Federico Jiménez Losantos. In the afternoon, a round table on "Social communication media and public opinion", with speeches by Benigno Blanco, president of the Spanish Family Forum, Ignacio Villa, director of the news services of "Cadena Cope"; Cristina López Schlichting, director and presenter of "The evening with Cristina" radio program of "Cadena Cope"; Eva Galvache, editor in chief for social and religious programs at "Cadena Cope", and Elsa González, editor in chief for the "Social" area at "Cadena Cope". The day will end with a conference about "How to interpret public opinion".
