"I wish today’s celebration may contribute to renewing the commitment of this important institution for a Catholic people’s culture". With these words, the Pope, at the end of yesterday’s "Regina Coeli", recalled the Day of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, which this year commemorated the Servant of God Armida Barelli, the co-founder of the University with Father Gemelli and the "great soul of the young women of Azione Cattolica in the first half of last century". Benedict XVI also mentioned the end of the First World Congress on the Divine Mercy, with a special "task" for the participants: "go and be the witnesses of God’s Mercy, the source of hope for every man and for the whole world". Finally, the Pope greeted the "many members of the Movimento dei Focolari working as catechists in the parish churches, who have come from many countries across the world", to whom Benedict XVI wished "all the best for their work at the service of the spreading and the receiving of God’s Word".
