A personal message addressed to the Hebrew Catholic community, inviting it to pray "for peace in Jerusalem and the Holy Places". The message was sent by Msgr. Fuad Twal, a few days from his taking office as new Latin patriarch of Jerusalem. "I send you, our dearest Hebrew community, my warmest wishes wrote Msgr. Twal -, and I express the burning desire to meet you as soon as possible to know each other better, to pray together for each other, and for peace in Jerusalem and the Holy Places, so as to renew the peace and prayer vocation of this Land. I hope he said at the end of the message to see you with all communities at the end of this week, to share our joys and responsibilities". According to what the Patriarchate of Jerusalem made known, Msgr. Twal is taking office on Sunday, 22nd June, at the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre. On June 23rd, the new Patriarch is celebrating his first Papal Mass, still at the Holy Sepulchre, while on the following day he is presiding over the priest ordination of a deacon in the parish of the Holy Family in Ramallah. On 25th June, there will be the holy entrance in the Nativity Basilica in Bethlehem". Before the rites, on Saturday, 21st June, there will be a thanksgiving Mass celebrated by the outgoing patriarch, Michel Sabbah, at the Basilica of Gethsemane.
